Today these guys were sitting out in Turlington registering people to vote and it reminded me of when we did that for PDY so long ago.

Registration Guy: Hey are you registered to vote?!

I have been reading soooo much feminist literature lately. It is all very overwhelming.
Today was embarrassing. On the bus, I was reading Simone de Beauvoir and wearing my "woman power" shirt from high school.
I felt a little ridiculous because I am not the type of person that likes to call attention to my ideas in such a way.
haha oh well we can all be a little cliche sometimes.
this boy in my Hebrew class picked my book off my desk (I hate when people do that) and asks me, so are you like a BIG FEMINIST
I asked him if he was calling me fat but since he totally didn't get it, I just said this slogan I saw on a t-shirt a long time ago
"Being a feminist is believing women are people" which I have no idea what that really means but he seemed to think it was very deep

I have met these sorts of people before and I always wonder what it would be like to be so happy all the time that you could feel safe labeling yourself with the emotion.
It would be very nice to be a "happy person" except that I would undoubtedly have terrible music taste.

So, sometime a long time ago, probably as a senior, Erika gave me all these NPR clips of David Sedaris, the American Ewemorist.
The middle of the story is that I love him
and the end of the story is that I am seeing him tomorrow!
Mike bought us tickets and today I am going to be that lamefaker that goes and buys his hard book even though I have only ever listened to his audiobooks just so he can AUTOGRAPH it.
All that's left is for me to think of something utterly witty to tell him as he signs and also to think of what to tell him to sign.
Then I can add the book to my collection of Autographs, my collection including:
a dollar bill signed by this amazing Elvis impersonator
also a dollar bill signed by Don McLean
a notebook paper signed by Judy Blume (probably my most prized)

this is what we call an out-of-gas ending.
